I had a wonderful time here in Ginsho. The food, service, room were exceptional and I couldn't think of anything not to like this hotel. They also had two public and open-air onsen, both of which offered an astounding view. I'd definitely recommend this place to everyone staying in Ibusuki. Will stay at this place again when I revisit the area!

The room is very spacious and has a private bath! You can enjoy the sea view while soaking in the hot spring, which is extremely private. The hotel also includes dinner and breakfast, which is very rich!

Very relaxing and fun stay here. You can experience the 砂蒸し sand bath for a small charge (1,200 yen?) at the place next door. You can go in your yukata supplied in your room, but maybe easier to go in your street clothes. It was a little confusing to go into the sand bath so take note of this. Pay or charge to your room at the front desk and they will give you a towel for drying off after the sand bath and shower. Go next door and up to the 2nd floor and show them your hotel paper slips and get your small towel to cover your head/hair and yukata for the sand bath. Get changed and get the clean flip flop slippers after changing and go outside to the sand area. Knowing to go to the 2nd floor first would have been helpful if the young person at Ginsho’s front desk mentioned it. We figured it out after wandering around but small inconvenience. After that is done and you’re nice and warm, go back to Ginsho and get your complimentary matcha and sweets when you enter through the back. There is a pic here with the 2 matcha mugs. At Ginsho, the onsen was good and recommend going up to the top floor and experiencing the outside rotenburo bath. Morning or afternoon is best as you can see the ocean view - pics here. Even got to see the Toppi boat go speeding to Tanegashima. The highlight of this place was the onsen water steaming down the middle of your table. Onsen tamago and onsen tofu was spectacularly good. The satsuma-age was superb too. Hope this helps. Definitely recommend this place.

We had a great time here. Staff was very friendly and food was delicious. I have a mild fish allergy and contacted onsen beforehand. It was handled perfectly and I got to eat delicious meats instead. In the room we had our own bath which was amazing.

We had a really pleasant stay here. The staff were so nice and friendly, it was heartwarming. A really great place to relax and watch the stunning view over the bay from the onsens located at the 2nd and 9th floor. We had also a nice view from our big room. I also want to mention the great lunch menu. It was really a lot and really delicious with local dishes. Thank you for a nice stay we enjoyed it a lot!

Great and relaxing experience! My package: 4階【露天風呂付き客室】畳4.5帖&ツインベッド Room: it's large and clean, with private hot spring bath, beautiful sea view in front of the bath Family bath: a bit small and with old facilities Public Onsen bath 2/F: not too large, clean and good facilities, the hot spring water was hot enough. ONSEN 9/F: Beautiful sea view, must try this! Clean and good facilities, however the hot spring water was too cold. Also not too large. Dinner: Cozy dining room, had private room. Food was delicious! Breakfast: Japanese style breakfast, tasted good Natural sand bath: Our package includes tickets, it costs 1200 yens/ 10 mins for walk-in. Need to go to another building to change cloth before the bath. Service: Excellent! The staffs bought us to the room, then introduced all facilities, checked cloth sizes and confirmed dining schedule with us.

The food tasted very average. Not what I expected given what I paid. Don't expect top quality ingredients, most taste ordinary. When I stay in a ryokan, I rate it based on food, bath, service, and lastly rooms. I stayed on the third floor Japanese style sea facing view. The rooms are normal and albeit dated tatami rooms. The bath on the 9th floor is great. It's sea facing. At night you can see the stars. The service if you don't speak Japanese? Futsu daioh. You might get by better speaking Mandarin than English here. It's 2 mins walk to the sand baths.
